I am dually qualified as both a pharmacist and a medical practitioner with some 28 years of experience having trained at St Thomas Hospital in London. On completion of my medical degree I undertook postgraduate training in general practice and for 18 years built up a wealth of experience that has been invaluable in the provision of good quality health care to patients. During my time in general practice I developed special interests in dermatology and occupational medicine gaining postgraduate diplomas in both.

My dermatology training began as a clinical assistant at Christchurch Hospital in 1996 with me quickly gaining generalist and surgical GPSI accreditation. I have continued providing a community dermatology service for the last 17 years establishing a close working relationship with fellow GP’s and secondary care colleagues.

In February 2017 I took up position as a community dermatologist in Dorset and West Hampshire to further develop my skills in general and surgical dermatology and dermoscopy. I am committed to providing the best service to my patients and continuously update by attending Solent Skin Society Meetings (educational events) and holding joint clinics and MDT sessions with consultant colleagues.
More recently I have returned to two NHS Trusts – The Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch NHS Trust and Dorset Healthcare University Foundation NHS Trust – as a Dermatology Trust Speciality Doctor.
In my personal time I love to travel when I get the chance. Closer to home I have a passion for driving hold a full driving, motorcycle and HGV licence. I am an avid fitness fan and regularly cycle, swim and play table tennis. I married into a farming family and also have a love of horses with my daughter now training to become a professional jockey.
